Dr. Luke Gardner, an Aquaculture Extension Specialist with California Sea Grant, leverages his molecular biology and general aquaculture knowledge to contribute significant academic and practical insights at Moss Landing Marine Labs. Dr. Gardner's research provides valuable perspectives on commercial and conservation aquaculture, tackling myriad topics from policy shaping to optimal husbandry practices. Through his dual role at Moss Landing Marine Labs and California Sea Grant, he has proven equally adept at guiding and supervising student research projects and utilizing a pedagogical approach in teaching graduate-level aquaculture courses.
